Usually released on October 1, this year鈥檚 FAFSA form was not widely available to families until the end of the year and only in what was called, 鈥渁 soft launch.鈥 On Jan 31, the very day colleges and universities expected to begin receiving ISIRs (FAFSA data from filers), Federal Student Aid notified us that ISIRs would be delayed further, until mid-March at the earliest. FAFSA delays directly impact financial aid awards from institutions, like John Carroll, and students 鈥揳nd their families鈥 who are awaiting aid packages before making college decisions. The latest delay led Noll Sorg and her Enrollment and Student Financial Services team to swiftly put together a plan to support students who want to enroll at John Carroll this fall.
