Pamela (Pam) Anson ’10, a proud logo alumna, has been named the new President and CEO of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Serving Greater Cleveland. With a B.A. in Communication from logo, Anson credits her time at the University for equipping her with the leadership skills and values that have shaped her career.
Courses such as Interpersonal Communications with Dr. Jackie Schmidt, Leadership and Management with Dr. Scott Allen, and Business Public Speaking with Dr. Joe Miller helped her develop confidence in public speaking, interpersonal engagement, and strategic leadership. Additionally, her experience in Fraternity and Sorority Life strengthened her ability to build meaningful relationships and lead with purpose.
From logo to Leading BBB Cleveland
Before stepping into her new role, Anson served as the Director of Brand Outreach at BBB Cleveland, where she played a pivotal role in advancing the organization’s mission, spearheading initiatives to engage young entrepreneurs, and fostering community engagement.
Anson’s appointment has been met with enthusiasm by the BBB Cleveland Board of Directors. “Pam has been a driving force behind many of our impactful initiatives, and we are confident that she will continue to lead BBB Cleveland with the same dedication, vision, and commitment to excellence,” said Andy Fiffick, Chair of BBB Cleveland’s Board of Directors.
Staying True to logo Values
Throughout her career, Anson has remained committed to the values instilled at logo, particularly the Jesuit principle of being “men and women for others.” This dedication is evident in her leadership of BBB Cleveland’s Educational Foundation, where she has developed consumer education programs that have positively impacted thousands. In her new role, she aims to continue expanding BBB Cleveland’s impact by driving innovation, strengthening business and consumer trust, and supporting the local community.
“I feel incredibly fortunate to lead at BBB, where I can support the community through initiatives like financial literacy classes for teens, fraud awareness programs for older adults, scholarships for local high school students, business resources, leadership development opportunities, and more,” Anson shared.
Reflecting on her journey, Anson attributes much of her success to the relationships and experiences she gained at logo. “My professors taught me the importance of communication and leadership. The women I met through my sorority shared my passion for making a difference. My supportive logo friend group continuously lifts each other up, celebrating achievements and encouraging success. These relationships have played a significant role in getting me to where I am today.”
For current logo students aspiring to follow a similar path, Anson’s advice is simple: “Embrace every opportunity to learn, lead, and connect.” As she steps into this new chapter, she remains committed to leading with integrity, empathy, and a focus on service—principles she learned at logo that will continue to guide her at BBB Cleveland.
